  • 4-6 year olds: Mondays, 5:30-6:30pm practice

  • 7-8 year olds: Fridays, 5:30-6:30pm practice

  • 9-10 year olds: Monday and Friday, 5:30-6:30pm practice

  • All games for 4-8 year olds are local at the Shark Park. Most games will be on Saturdays with some weekday evening games.

  • 9-10 year olds may travel to Hall County for games

The Olympic Development Program (ODP) was created by US Soccer around 25 years ago for two purposes: 

1) To identify national team players early, at the youth level.
2) To provide development opportunities for these potential national team players.

To this day, these two core purposes, namely, IDENTIFY and DEVELOP for the national team, have not changed. However, many players have also come to associate ODP with improved opportunities for playing college soccer and getting college scholarships. This is because many college coaches work on ODP staff at the state, regional, and national levels and also most college coaches scout players at ODP events. College coaches consider a player’s participation in ODP as an indicator of talent and soccer ambition.

 


The Preliminary Tryout fee is $30. The State Tryout fee is also $30. When you register your child for ODP tryouts online, you will be prompted to pay the fee. If you advance from the Preliminary Tryouts to the State Tryouts, you will have to register again online for the State Tryouts and pay again the $30 fee.


Eligible Age Groups
(Players born in Calendar year January 1 to December 31) Players born in 1995 thru 2000 are eligible to tryout.
Boys and girls.  Younger or older players are not eligible, no exceptions.

U11 Boys led by Colie Knotts won their Final at the NASA Boys Classic. The boys played several challenging games, including a tightly contested must win game on Sunday morning which they won 5-3. In the Championship Game against NW Cobb Strikers the boys were tied at half time and won 4-1 in the second half due to outstanding play on both sides of the ball.
